This listing is for 50 water lotus flowers made from plantable seed paper. After your event, the flowers are designed to be recycled by planting and will sprout a mix of wildflowers.
The lotus measure approximately 2 1/4" in diameter and are made with multiple layers of petals and have a beautiful mustard yellow center full of delicate fringed detail.
If you would like more than one color, please indicate your choices in the notes to seller section.
I recommend separating the layers of the flowers before planting. The paper should then be moistened, put in a sunny spot in the garden or in a pot, covered with 1/4" soil, and watered. The paper should be monitored to ensure that the soil is kept moist but not wet. After a few weeks, the paper will sprout and grow.
The seeds in the paper are a mix of perennials and annuals including: Snapdragon, Birds Eye, Black-eyed Susan, English Daisy, Catchfly, Clarkia and Sweet Alyssum.
Please remember that annuals usually bloom the first year but perennials often don't bloom until the second year or later. Also, the seeds need to be monitored to ensure that they are receiving adequate sun and water.
